With a busy schedule, it’s hard to get through a whole list sometimes. Boo! But even in the midst of busyness, it’s important to set aside some time to be productive. When the house is a mess to start with and Christmas is
10 9 days away, “coasting” is not an option.
On the fifth day of Christmas cleaning, here’s what I got done:
Five mini errands (run or prepped) – They weren’t all mini, and they weren’t all “errands” today, but we got to the birthday party and the shopping mall, a few trips to the recycling bin are ready to go, and packages are ready to go to the post office.
Four containers filled and/or emptied – another basket of clothes put away, two stacks of Christmas presents wrapped and (almost) packaged, and a birthday gift unwrapped and put away (others will be unwrapped tomorrow),
Three surfaces looked at – each with the thought “I really need to get to that tomorrow!”
Two one floor s de-cluttered – the kids’ room… again.
And a kitchen just as clean as the day before – went through the fridge and started tossing things.
Not cleaning is wearing me out even more than cleaning. I’m actually looking forward to getting back into the rhythm of cleaning and having more progress to report.
